Jocelyn S. Shaw, P.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, in New York City and Long Island, NY. She provides psychotherapy for children, families, and adults.
Dr. Shaw completed her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Adelphi University, in child, adolescent, adult, and family psychotherapy; and earned her B.A. from Wellesley College.
She has specialized training in the treatment and evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and attachment issues. Dr. Shaw's research has focused on affect regulation, parent-child interactions, as well as, language and movement in early development. She also has training in psycho-educational testing administration and evaluation to address a wide range of psychological needs, and learning issues, and provide recommendations for effective interventions and learning strategies.
In addition, Dr. Shaw has expertise in providing psychotherapy and palliative care for infants, children, and adults across the life-span with chronic and/or life-threatening illnesses.
